ESBAS has long been engaged in efforts to expand the Aegean Free Zoneto accommodate more investors, under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy.

A Cabinet decision on expansion of the Aegean Free Zone borders, dated Aug.3, 2016, has been published in the Official Gazette, as a result of these efforts.

Within the scope of this decision, ESBAS will immediately start development of the expansion area, which is adjacent to the Aegean Free Zone.

We hereby extend our thanks to our esteemed President in particular, and to our Prime Minister, members of the Cabinet, Minister of Economy as well as the officials of The Ministry of Economy General Directorate of Free Zones, and Overseas Investment and Services for enabling these meticulous efforts to come to life. We sincerely hope this decision brings prosperity to Izmir and our country.
