NASA Astronaut Ellen Baker was at the Aegean Free Zone to attend the Space Camp programs from April 20th to 27th. On an exclusive presentation to the students of Space Camp Türkiye, Baker recounted the astronaut selection process, physiological reactions of human body, observation of Earth and many other topics of interest.

Renowned for flying to space in Atlantis and Columbia shuttles in 3 different missions between 1989 and 1995, logging a total of 28 days and 14 hours in space, Astronaut Ellen Baker greeted the students of Space Camp Türkiye on April 22nd. Presenting photos of the Moon, the sunrise and volcanoes taken in space, Baker said, "We orbited the Earth 16 times a day. Earth has a magnificent view in space, it's indescribable. Looking out from the shuttle, it was really hard to believe all the hatred and suffering in what looks like such a heavenly place in space."

Also visiting ESBAS Technology Center, the Exhibition Area and the Antique Car Museum, Astronaut Ellen Baker acquainted herself with the Aegean Free Zone and ESBAS. Baker then greeted the children at the Child Care Center, answered their space-related questions and listened to the English songs that the children sang for her. Astronaut Ellen Baker left the Aegean Free Zone with positive impressions.
