The Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO) announced the list of industrial enterprises that passed the 30 million TL threshold in manufacturing and sales for the year 2013. 

 

Results of the “100 Largest Industrial Enterprises From Manufacturing to Sales” listing, which has become an annual tradition by the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry (EBSO), was announced by the Chairman of the Board of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Ender Yorgancılar. 

 

Based on the 2013 data, the list demonstrated that 78 of the companies on the list carry out their manufacturing activities only in Izmir, whereas 14 companies are consolidated and 8 companies mainly manufacture in the Aegean Region. Out of the 100 companies in total, 43 went up the list while 34 companies went down, 7 companies held their spots and 16 new companies made it to the list. 

 

The “100 Largest Industrial Enterprises” includes eight companies currently manufacturing at the Aegean Free Zone. These 8 companies accounted for 39.4% of the Aegean Free Zone’s trade volume in 2013 and 47% of the export.  Forty percent of the total employment at the Zone is generated by these companies.
