Employees of ESBAS gathered at a special event, which recognized their years of service with the company and the significant contributions and achievements they have made to the organization.

As part of efforts to continuously improve employee satisfaction through social activities, the Aegean Free Zone Development and Operating Company (ESBAS) held its traditional “Honor and Reward Event” on March 12 in the ESBAS Technology Center Conference Hall.  Fifty-five employees celebrated their 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th year service anniversaries and received special plaques and gifts.   For the first time, certain employees were recognized for making key contributions to ESBAS and the Aegean Free Zone.

During his opening remarks, CEO (Dr.) Faruk Guler said he is confident that employees will come forth with more recommendations in the future and help the organization grow. Dr. Guler pointed out that the Aegean Free Zone aims to become a center for excellence and contributions made by employees help advance the company in the journey to the EFQM Excellence Model.

Following the ESBAS Honor and Reward Program, there was a special guest appearance by Mr. Sunay Akin, Türkiye`s famous poet, theatre actor and Founder of the Toy Museum.  Mr. Akin was then presented a wooden space rocket which was handcrafted by Space Camp Türkiye students to display in his museum. Mr. Akin remarked that he was impressed with the developments in the Aegean Free Zone, to include the operation of one of the world’s three Space Camps.  He also congratulated Dr. Guler and ESBAS employees for their extraordinary efforts and accomplishments.
