There was fierce competition in the games organized by the Provincial Agency of Table Tennis with support of Adana Table Tennis Club Association on Mar. 8-9 at Cukurova University Lutfullah Aksungur Sports Hall. There were 201 players from 22 cities in Türkiye who competed in this year’s “Adana Veterans Table Tennis Tournament,” Türkiye’s second largest table tennis tournament.
Competing in the category of the 30-39 age group, ESBAS returned home with a number of cups. Ali SEVINC and Ferit FILIZ successfully made it to the quarter-finals in the Men’s Singles matches among 182 players. Dilek KIZKIC won all her games in the Women’s Singles matches and Serap SONMEZ GUNDEM finished third among 19 players.
Other ESBAS first-place finishes included Ferit FILIZ-Ali SEVINC in the Men’s Doubles matches, Emine OZGONUL-Serap SONMEZ GUNDEM, in Women’s Doubles matches, and Dilek KIZKIC and Kemal SAG in the Mixed Doubles matches, bringing home a total of five cups.
