Michael Camunez, the US Assistant Secretary of Commerce, visited ESBAS
 

Having started his four-day visit to Türkiye, US Assistant Secretary of Commerce Michael Camunez and the accompanying delegation first visited ESBAS and the Aegean Free Zone in Izmir.

At the meeting held in the Conference Hall of ESBAS Technology Center, Camunez gathered with US firms operating in the Aegean Free Zone and Izmir and informed representatives of those firms about the purpose of his visit to Türkiye. Representatives of US firms Delphi Diesel, Cummins and HMT, operating in the Aegean Free Zone, attended the meeting.

After receiving information on ESBAS and the Aegean Free Zone, Camunez stated that he was very much impressed by the investments made in the Aegean Free Zone. Camunez expressed his wishes for an increasing continuation in those investments and pointed out that he would make further contacts in order to use every opportunity, particularly in the energy sector in Türkiye.
