Mr. John Bass, U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye, visited ESBAŞ – The Aegean Free Zone Development and Operating Company during a recent visit to Izmir.

ESBAS CEO Dr. Faruk Güler welcomed Ambassador Bass to ESBAŞ for the first time and shared information about ESBAŞ and the Aegean Free Zone. Dr. Faruk Güler noted that there are eleven U.S. companies operating in İzmir and six of them are located in İzmir, which generate a quarter of the trade and employment volume of the Aegean Free Zone.  He also stated that he is very delighted about the long standing cooperation between the ESBAŞ and U.S. Embassy.  This year ESBAS co-hosted the U.S. Independence Day reception for the tenth time.

Ambassador Bass congratulated ESBAS and the Aegean Free Zone companies for their contribution to the economy and wished them continued success in their investments and dual relations with the U.S. 

After the meeting the ambassador also had a mini tour of the Aegean Free Zone in a classical car from the ESBAŞ Antique Car Museum.
